The technician did the diagnosis of the 1-liter Bajaj geyser. He said the thermostat needed to be changed for an additional Rs.1200. I turned down the offer because I felt that buying a new similar geyser was a better option than spending 1400 (in total) for a very old geyser. He did try to convince me to buy the thermostat saying that new geysers don’t work as reliably and long lasting as older models. But I decided to buy a new one. Thanks anyway. 👍🏽

The geyser thermostat was replaced but it looks like I was charged more than the normal replacement cost. Most geyser thermostats are available in the range of Rs 300-600 but I was charged Rs 800 for the same. I had to get it done at the moment since it was an emergency for me.

The geyser was in working condition their was no connection to tap it was direct to the shower instead of helping me with this he fooled me and changed few parts and charged me for the same.
